Views of Social Studies Teachers on Scientific Research Methodology

Scientific method is one means by which knowledge created. The goal of the social studies course to teach methodology used these sciences in accessing subject information along with they provide from sciences. Therefore, teachers should be aware scientific research so that can according this purpose. In study, focus was on how consider research. This study aimed investigate teachers' views methodology. It adopted phenomenology, qualitative designs. Maximum diversity sampling and criterion were determine group. Data collection consisted two stages. first stage, Views about Inquiry Questionnaire (VASI) applied. second stage included a semi-structured interview form prepared researcher. analysed via descriptive analysis technique. codes classified under headings VASI form. Findings showed regarding mostly wrong inadequate. Based findings, recommendations made teachers, administrators, officials Council Higher Education (CoHE). These suggestions as follows: Teachers need learn methodology, school administrators implement programs such in-service training for related subject, CoHE add more content teacher programs.
